DinnerTime comes to Witney!

An award winning 'community kitchen project which has been hugely successful in other parts of the county is starting a regular series of free events in Witney.

The DinnerTime project brings communities together to cook and share food with the aim of improving cooking skills, cutting food waste and reducing social isolation.  A team of volunteers from the DinnerTime project have made links with West Oxfordshire District Council, Tower Hill Promary School, the Methodist Church, Sustainable Witney and the Food Bank to organise the free cooking workshops.  Brigitte Hickman from Sustainable Witney said "I would encourage anyone to come along, no matter whether you are an experienced cook or want to learn.  You don't need to bring anything, although if you do have any food at the back of your cupboard or fridge it could be added to the food which will be used, which has been kindly donated by Waitrose Witney and the Witney and Oxford Food Banks."
