National Prayer Weekend

The National Prayer Weekend is an opportunity for Christians to unite


Churches coming together to pray for the community


8 am - Ecumenical prayer breakfast at High Street Methodist Church

8:45 am - 9:30 am - Time of prayer at High Street Methodist Church.

9:30 am - 12 pm - Prayer activities in the town

Group walks

Davenport Road Methodist Church open for refreshments 10.30am – 12 noon

Prayer focus in Congregational Church

Giving out Flowers/sweets/balloons of grace with scripture verse luggage tag (tags to be made following the prayer meeting)

Community Church teams praying in the streets and having conversations

Prayer Sofa

12 pm - 1 pm - People will bring packed lunches to the Congregational Church.  Tea, coffee, juice and water will be available. 

1:00 pm - 3 pm - Prayer activities in the town (as above)


3 pm - Meet at Welcome Church for a time of worship and prayer.
